- NOTE: Is Atropine safe? No. It is extremely toxic. Never put atropine with anything that will be consumed by humans or animals. This note is here due to a poisoning in Europe (over several years) that has nothing to do with this book. Originally they put small amounts of atropine with MDMA (ecstacy). This worked fine and nobody died because the amount was small and the dosage is usually only once. What happened was that somebody started mixing atropine, in larger amounts, with cocaine. This ultimately led to several deaths because the amount of atropine was much greater and users of cocaine do not limit themselves to one dose generally.
